Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. As part of The United Methodist Church, we seek to open hearts, minds, and doors through active engagement with our world. In the tradition of John Wesley, we emphasize Christian living that puts faith and love into action. To learn more about the basics of our faith and what we believe, click here.
We are a loving Christian community that welcomes all people, regardless of age, race, gender, disability, social class, or sexual orientation. We seek to serve God and our neighbors through the church, including our music, worship, and education ministries, just to name a few. More importantly, we serve God and our neighbors beyond our walls through our relationships with Cardinal Campus Ministries at Ball State University, Habitat for Humanity, Covenant Partners, Christian Ministries, A Better Way, and many others.
At College Avenue, our vision is to be a Spirit-filled Christian community that welcomes all people to gather to worship God, grow in faith, and go to serve in love. When we become part of this community of faith, we commit to support the church by:
Whether our prayers are personal or corporate, in worship or in the world, we seek to “pray without ceasing” in all aspects of our lives. We lift up very personal prayers to God, as well as intercessory prayers for our community and world, trusting in the presence of Jesus Christ with us. If you would like to share a prayer with us, click here.
We intentionally commit to grow in our faith by being part of worship on Sunday mornings, small groups for study and accountability, mission opportunities, and special events and services. We participate in the sacraments of baptism and Holy Communion. We believe God transforms us when we’re in community as the Body of Christ.
Recognizing all we have is a gift from God, we offer our time, talent, and treasure to Christ. We seek to be extravagantly generous in our financial giving and our faithful living.

God calls us to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with God. We reach out to our community and take risks to serve God and our neighbor in all that we do.
Trusting in God’s call to make disciples of Jesus Christ, we bear witness to the love of God in this world, so that for those to whom love is a stranger may find in us generous friends.
