We’re Returning to Online Worship but Adding In-Person Vespers Sunday Nights

We had a delightful, albeit hot, and sweaty outdoor service on July 5. We were amazed by how many of you braved the heat to join us for in-person worship. It was so hot we were more concerned about the dangers of heatstroke than were the coronavirus.

With that in mind, we have decided to return on-line worship beginning this coming Sunday, July 12. Again, as we have said before, the health, well-being, and safety of our members are our primary concern.

However, we are aware of just how much we are all craving to connect with one another in-person. So we are happy to announce that beginning this Sunday, July 12 . we will offer evening worship and prayer in the courtyard under the trees from 7:30 – 8:15 p.m. This service will be a very simple contemplative time of readings, scripture, devotion, and prayer. Bring a lawn chair and join me under the shade of the trees for a time of simple worship together. Face masks are strongly recommended.

As we have said before, these are waters that none of us have navigated before. We continue to work toward  meeting the needs of the congregation while being mindful of their concerns and heeding the advice of the experts.

Grace and Peace,

Pastor Karen
