We will be celebrating Faith Promise on Sunday, February 3. Our 2019 Faith Promise ministries are A Better Way, Covenant Partners, Africa University, Habitat, Christian Ministries, West View Elementary, Mission Guatemala, and Red Bird. Please pray to discern your part in coming alongside these ministries with your prayers, your presence, and your monetary gifts.

Red Bird Mission, Inc. and Red Bird Clinic, Inc. have been providing ministries in the Appalachian Mountains since 1921. Chronic poverty, lack of jobs, poor housing, and rugged mountainous terrain provide obstacles to a fuller life for the residents of this area. Red Bird Mission and Clinic strives to meet these needs through ministry in five areas: Education, Health and Wellness, Community Outreach, Economic Opportunity, and Community Housing Improvement.
Mission Guatemala Inc. is a faith-based, non-profit organization with a mission to help meet the basic needs and improve the quality of life of under-served and impoverished Guatemalan peoples through health, education, and nutrition initiatives and missionary service.
Since 2014, College Avenue has partnered with West View Elementary by providing volunteers for after-school programs and events, making various donations, sponsoring students and families for holidays and special events, and more.
Africa University, located in Zimbabwe, is a United Methodist-related institution of higher education serving students from many African nations. Studies are offered in Agriculture, Education, Health Sciences, Humanities, Management, Peace-Leadership-Governance, and Theology.
Covenant Partners is a mission church of the Indiana Conference. College Avenue has been supporting them with Faith Promise dollars as well as regular donations of groceries. Participating in their Sunday evening worship and providing a meal are rich experiences.
Habitat for Humanity is more than building homes. Habitat builds communities, hope, and the opportunity for families to help themselves. College Avenue has a long, rich history of participating in Habitat builds.
